For healthcare and support professionals
Healthcare professionals, support workers and other professionals can refer someone to House of Healing with their consent. Where a funded pathway does not apply, appropriate support may still be accessed on a self-funded basis.
Currently piloting with UHCW Macmillan
A limited number of funded cancer-support spaces are currently available through our pilot pathway with UHCW Macmillan. Funded referrals are received directly through the UHCW Macmillan team.
Eligibility for funded support is assessed individually by a House of Healing advisor as part of the referral consultation.
Every referral is reviewed individually. You don’t need to know which service is right before referring — our team will help determine the most appropriate pathway.
Referrals can be made by a healthcare professional or directly by the individual. We’ll acknowledge receipt once the referral reaches House of Healing.
Within 3–5 working days, a member of the House of Healing team will contact the person referred to arrange an online consultation.
We’ll talk through current circumstances, support needs and the services that may be appropriate. We’ll also establish whether support is available through a funded pathway or on a self-funded basis.
Once the appropriate pathway has been agreed, we’ll arrange the next step. This may be support through House of Healing or referral to one of our trusted collaborative services.
Every referral is different. Following your consultation, we’ll help identify the support that is most appropriate for your individual circumstances.
